Refinements in Crystal Ladder Filter Design - W7ZOI

(Taken mostly from Designing and Building High-Performance Crystal Ladder Filters by Jacob Makhinson, N6NWP, QEX, January 1995), and Crystal Ladder Filters for All, DJ6EV and G3GIR.

1. Select filter center frequency. We shall choose 11.0592MHz which is marked on hundreds of crystals I purchased on eBay for next to nothing.

2. Measure the crystal's parameters.

3. Select the filter shape response.

4. Use the software to design the filter.

5. Build the crystal.
